Water Sparingly

This plant prefers a drier growing medium. Check that the growing medium is almost fully dry, then water thoroughly. The pot should feel significantly lighter than usual.

High Light

This plant loves to receive lots of bright light and is best grown in partial to full sun. Always increase the amount of sun exposure gradually to prevent leaf scorch.

Low Humidity

This plant will fare decently in normal household humidity (50 – 60%) but will benefit from higher humidity levels.

Problems & Maintenance

If the fish bone cactus fails to receive enough water, its succulent leaves begin to wrinkle and droop. It is best to provide this plant with small sips of water to keep it hydrated while preventing it from being over-watered. If it seems dehydrated, provide water gradually over a few days.
