The Hoya obovata has large, round, thick leaves and produces pink, waxy flowers in bloom. It is often kept as a hanging plant. The variegated version; known as the Hoya obovate Splash, has faint speckles or splash marks across various leaves.

Water Moderately

This plant can tolerate a drier growing medium, but will do well if you water it regularly. Check that the growing medium is about halfway dry, then water thoroughly.

 Medium Light

This plant will benefit from being in a location with bright, indirect light. Depending on your conditions, a window-lit spot or one that offers a few hours of direct morning sunlight will be appreciated.

Moderate Humidity

This plant will fare decently in normal household humidity (50 – 60%) but will benefit from higher humidity levels.

This plant is prone to mealybugs and should be regularly inspected to keep them at bay. Its large, succulent leaves should also be wiped regularly to be kept dust-free.
