The Raphidophora tetrasperma is well-known for its nickname; the Mini Monstera plant! This plant greatly resembles the Monstera Deliciosa – Although it doesn’t grow quite as large, which makes it perfect for your indoor jungle. It develops fenestrations on its leaves as it matures, and can also begin to display the Monstera Delisiosa’s signature “holes”!

Water Moderately

This plant can tolerate a drier growing medium, but will do well if you water it regularly. Check that the growing medium is about halfway dry, then water thoroughly. 

Medium Light

This plant will benefit from being in a location with medium to bright indirect light. A few hours of sun will also be enjoyed.

Moderate Humidity

This plant requires a high humidity environment (75% >) to thrive, although it will tolerate a slightly less humid location.

Problems & Maintenance

The Raphidophora tetrasperma attracts spider mites and thrips, which are especially fond of soft, new leaves. It should be treated with neem oil regularly. To encourage mature leaves, give it some support in the form of a trellis!

Suitable for Indoors

This is a plant that will live happily indoors. If kept outdoors, ensure that it is kept out of harsh, direct sun.

Toxicity Level 2

This plant is moderately poisonous. Eating parts of it may result in vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pains, skin irritations, and breathing difficulties. Keep away from pets and children.
